Teri Yuan, Principal

I am a social entrepreneur, intersectional feminist, and systems thinker. In doing this work, I draw upon my diverse set of skills and track record that I have built, by cross-pollinating the outcomes-driven approach from my private sector experience, with the mission-focused culture of the non-profit sector.   I have extensive experience in the non-profit/social impact/publishing sectors and a record of success in getting initiatives off the ground and flourishing.

In previous roles, I have successfully led the strategic visioning, design, growth, and financial management of programs in youth and workforce development, as well as in the college access, transition and success space. My clients span from organizations in the social justice space seeking to implement operational systems and processes, to organizations seeking to develop a strategic vision and mission and translating that into a marketing and communications strategy.

I am also the host of the weekly podcast, en(gender)ed, which explores the systems, practices and policies that enable gender-based violence and oppression and the solutions to end it, and uses gender as a lens to better understand power and oppression and its impact in the private realm, so as to better recognize and confront it in the public sphere.   As a frequent survivor speaker, I share how by developing a cultural literacy around power and abuse of power, we can reclaim the ways we define liberty in relationships and in civic life and solve many of our most urgent social (justice) challenges.
